Advanced Pretreatments

Advanced pretreatments, also known as Non-phosphate pretreatments, utilize dual coating technology that combines zirconium with a host of organics.

A drop-in replacement for iron phosphate processes, Gardobond AP 9809 is compatible with mild steel equipment and typical city water in 3-stage spray washers.
OXSILAN 9800 is a liquid, phosphorous-free, slightly acidic, silane-based product that enhances the performance of subsequently-applied organic coatings. OXSILAN 9800 is formulated for use on steel, iron, aluminum and zinc substrates. It is free of any regulated heavy metals. Substrates must be cleaned and thoroughly rinsed prior to processing in OXSILAN 9800. OXSILAN 9800 is used at ambient temperature by spray or immersion. OXSILAN 9800 is normally used with a final water rinse. OXSILAN 9800 is approved to Caterpillar 1E4093 and listed on 1E1850.
OXSILAN 9810/1 is a liquid, phosphorous-free, slightly acidic, silane-based product that enhances the performance of subsequently-applied organic coatings. Oxsilan 9810/1 is formulated for use on steel, iron, aluminum and zinc substrates. It is free of regulated heavy metals. Substrates must be cleaned and thoroughly rinsed prior to processing in Oxsilan 9810/1. Oxsilan 9810/1 is used at ambient temperature by spray or immersion.
OXSILAN MM-0705 is a liquid, non-chrome, slightly acidic, silane-based product that enhances the performance of subsequently-applied organic coatings. Oxsilan MM-0705 can be used on aluminum, zinc, cold rolled steel and other substrates. Substrates must be cleaned and thoroughly rinsed prior to processing in Oxsilan MM-0705. Oxsilan MM-0705 is used at ambient temperature by spray, immersion or roll coating. Oxsilan MM-0705 is a dry-in-place product.
A phosphonate-based conversion coating process designed to yield performance similar to an iron or zinc phosphate system without the drawbacks of heavy metal, sludge, and phosphate discharge. The EPP process operates at lower temperatures than iron and zinc phosphate, producing measurable energy savings. Very low phosphorous content.
A liquid, phosphorus-free, single-package, cleaner and pretreatment that enhances the performance of subsequently-applied organic liquid and powder coatings.
