Non-Destructive Testing

Ardrox and Xmor non-destructive testing penetrants, emulsifiers, and developers aid in the inspection process without causing any damage, are a part of Chemetall's product line. Visible Penetrants (Type II)

Visible penetrants are not rated by sensitivity but are generally considered equivalent to Level 1. Chemetall's visible penetrants provide crisp indication, low residual background and temperature stability at a low cost.
Ardrox 906 is a water washable color contrast penetrant, widely used in many industries for the detection of indications which are open to the surface of non-porous parts. Ardrox 906 is a dark red in color, allowing easy control and monitoring of the washing process.
Checkmor 240 is a new generation water washable color contrast penetrant, widely used in many industries for the detection of indications which are open to the surface of non-porous parts.

Fluorescent Penetrants (Type I)

Chemetall's fluorescent penetrants have low toxicity and produce bright, crisp indications with low residual background. They are resistant to heat and UV fade as well as overwash.
Ardrox 9702 is a stable solution of solvents, non-ionic emulsifying agents and fluorescent dyes. They contain no added sulphur, halogen or inorganic compounds and are essentially ash free on ignition.

Ardrox 970P25E has been approved for sensitivity Level 3. This penetrant is characterized by its controlled washability, which makes it less susceptible to overwashing.This high entrapment feature truly makes it unique in comparison to other water washable products. Flaw finding is enhanced by its excellent bleed back properties.

Water-washable Britemor 446 is specially designed for fracture critical control inspection.
Ardrox P136E has been approved for sensitivity Level 4. This penetrant is characterized by its controlled washability, which makes it less susceptible to over- washing. This high entrapment feature truly makes it unique in comparison to other water washable products. Flaw finding is enhanced by its excellent bleed back properties. This product was developed for fracture critical control inspection.

Emulsifiers

These are products that minimize background fluorescence on part surfaces and reduce excess penetrant from hollow parts.
Ardrox 9PR3 is a lipophilic (Method B) emulsifier formulated for use with the Ardrox 985 series of post emulsifiable fluorescent penetrants.

Approvals: AMS 2644, ASTM E-165, General Electric, Rolls Royce, Honeywell. ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section V, Article 6.
Xmor L-80 is a lipophilioc (Method B) emulsifier formulated for use with the Britemor 500 and 600 series of post emulsifiable fluorescent penetrants.
Ardrox 9881 is a Hydrophilic (Method D) emulsifier concentrate which is diluted with water. It can be applied by immersion, spray, or foam-on method. Ardrox 9881 has been specifically formulated for use with the following Ardrox 981X Series of post emulsifiable penetrants: Ardrox 9812, Ardrox 9813 and Ardrox 9814.

Approvals: Xmor H-92 is approved by AMS 2644
Description: Xmor H-92 is a Hydrophilic (Method D) emulsifier Concentrate which is diluted with water at No More than 20% concentration. Xmor H-92 has been specifically formulated for use with the Xmor 700 series of Post Emulsifiable Penetrants, 755, 760 and 768.

Developers

Used to develop any approved fluorescent penetrant.
Ardrox 9D4A is a Form a, dry powder, developer. It is a homogeneous blend of synthetic white powders of very small particle sizes. It does not contain any mined materials. The product has very low impurity levels.

Apply by: Dust storm cabinet, electrostatic spray gun, sufflator, flock gun
Approvals: AMS 2644, ASTM E-165, NAVSEA 250-1500-1, General Electric, Rolls Royce, McDonnell Douglas, Garrett EMS 52309E, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Section V, Article 6), Detroit Diesel Allison, and Boeing BAC 5433, and Pratt and Whitney FPM, PMC # 4356
Xmor PD-3 is a homogeneous blend of synthetic white powders of very small particle sizes with very low impurity levels.
Ardrox 9D1B is a liquid product consisting of finely divided white powder dispersed in a non-halogenated volatile solvent system.
Ardrox NQ1 is a Form d and Form e non-aqueous developer. It is a liquid product consisting of a finely divided powder dispersed in a non-halogenated volatile solvent system. Ardrox NQ1 is used with Type I and Type II penetrants.

Apply by: Spraying from Aerosol or with spray gun, or dipping into liquid version

Xmor LD-7 is a liquid Product consisting of finely divided white powder dispersed in a non-halogenated volatile solvent system. Xmor LD-7 is used with Type 1, Fluorescent, and Type !!, Visible, Penetrants

Cleaners/Removers

Ardrox 9PR50 is a Class 2, Method C, AMS 2644 approved cleaner/remover. It is a quick drying, non-halogenated (non-chlorinated) solvent for removing oil, grease and similar soils from metal surfaces. It provides a high level of cleaning efficiency with operational safety. It is completely corrosion safe for use in both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Ardrox 9PR50 is an excellent penetrant remover.
Ardrox PR1 is a Class 2, Method C cleaner/remover. It is a quick-drying, non-halogenated (non-chlorinated) solvent for removing oil, grease and similar soils from metal surfaces. It is completely corrosion-safe for use on both ferrous and nonferrous alloys. Ardrox PR1 is also an excellent penetrant remover.

Xmor S-76 is a Class 2, Method C, Cleaner/Remover. It is a quick drying, non-halogenated < (non-chlorinated) solvent for removing oil, grease and similar soils from metal surfaces. It is corrosion safe for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals
